Beth Israel Hospital demolishes former pediatrics building to make way for new outpatient center
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham demolished its former pediatrics building on Nov. 21 in order to make room for a new outpatient clinical center, which the hospital held a groundbreaking ceremony for on Tuesday.
The 37,000-square-foot facility will be used to accommodate the hospital’s growing number of outpatients in cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics and other medical specialties. The building is expected to open in the spring of 2019.
