Business Support for Hospital Gala Grows Dramatically

The business community and individual sponsors have provided unprecedented support for the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham gala that will take place the night of Nov. 4. "It's Magic … Imagine the Possibilities," the hospital's seventh annual gala, has attracted 44 sponsors this year, compared to 32 last year, according to organizer Suzanne Heffernan. Dollars donated by sponsors have increased by 46 percent over last year, and advertising in the program book has increased 42 percent. "The hospital deeply appreciates the generosity of the individuals and businesses that have helped make our biggest annual fundraiser a success even before the party begins," said Jeffrey H. Liebman, president and chief executive officer. "The funds raised this year will help us to enhance the health care services we provide specifically for women - from digital mammography to bone densitometry to special equipment in the Operating Room."
