The staff at the Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center in Needham is committed to patient education. A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming in so many different ways, and our staff will help you learn about:

  • Your cancer diagnosis
  • Your treatment, which may involve surgery, radiation or chemotherapy, or some or all of these
  • Your chemotherapy
  • Your diet
  • How to cope

Compassionate care is the foundation of our program. Our nurse case managers will help you navigate your diagnosis, and our chemotherapy nurses as well as our pharmacists will teach you about your medical treatment. Our radiation oncology nurses specialize in educating patients about ways to manage the side effects of radiation.
