All testing requires a physician order and an appointment.
All scheduling issues or questions regarding COVID-19 testing can be referred to:
Scheduling your Test: Please call the COVID-19 scheduling phone at 781-453-3044, option 3 to schedule a COVID test.
Canceling your Test: Please call 781-453-3044, option 3 or email BID-NeedhamTesting@bidneedham.org and give us your name and DOB and reason for cancellation.
Testing age: 15 years and older
Results: May take up to 48 hours for results.
Sunday: 7:30 am – 11:00 am
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
Type of Testing: Samples are tested using a FDA Emergency Use authorization approved PCR assay. Currently we are using Nasopharyngeal Swab for testing.
Location: Drive-thru testing is outside the Outpatient Clinical Center (campus map). All patients should arrive wearing a mask.
Please note: If you need a COVID test due to travel, BID Needham will submit to insurance providers for coverage. Individuals will be required to pay if insurance does not cover the testing. You also have the option to pay the upfront fee and submit to your insurance or employer on your own for reimbursement.
Accessing Results: Please do not call the Main Laboratory for results. Results will be sent to the ordering provider and patients should contact them for results. Patients can find their results on the Mysite patient portal.
