Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham earns safety accolades

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham has recently been recognized for its commitment to safety from The Leapfrog Group, The Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

The hospital received an A grade in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2017 Hospital Safety Score, which rates how well hospitals protect patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections. BID–Needham was one of 823 hospitals to receive an A for its commitment to reducing errors, infections and accidents that can harm patients. The hospital received The Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, effective for three years. CMS recently gave the hospital a four-star rating out of five-stars in its Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating data.
