CardioVascular Institute and AHA Announce Lifestyle Change Awards

Date: March 11, 2014

Enter today! Deadline is this coming Friday, March 14

Have you lost weight? Started a personal walking program? Reduced your salt intake? Given up smoking?

If so, we invite you to nominate yourself – or a friend, colleague or patient – in the Lifestyle Change Awards competition.

This competition is organized by the American Heart Association (AHA) and presented by the CardioVascular Institute (CVI) at BIDMC as part of its Heart Walk sponsorship. Winners will be recognized on April 2, National Walking Day. Prizes will include a recognition certificate, an AHA gift bag and the opportunity to participate in publicity about healthy lifestyles.

The purpose is to salute Bostonians from all walks of life who have made lifestyle changes that benefit their cardiovascular health. No change is too big or too small, and people of all ages from throughout the Boston area are encouraged to submit the attached, simple nomination form by the deadline Friday, March 14.

Please note, if you are a healthcare professional wishing to nominate a patient, you must obtain his or her permission under HIPAA guidelines. Please contact Margaret Pantridge of the CVI (781-690-3565) for more information. Assistance in preparing entries is also available.

Please act today by completing your nomination form!

Thank you.
