BID-Needham Celebrates Heart Month

Happy Heart Month! The CardioVascular Institute at BID-Needham invites you to join in our annual line-up of cardiovascular educational activities, including a heart booth in the lobby next to patient registration, a community health fair at the Needham Senior Center and the much-anticipated annual Red Wine & Dark Chocolate Tasting in Boston.

Eat, Walk and Be Healthy & Go Red for Women – Wear Red Today

Needham Heart Booth
8:00 am-4:00 pm, BID-Needham lobby
Educational handouts, blood pressure readings and heart-healthy dark chocolate truffles. Pick up your red dress pin! Wear red clothes, socks, necktie, scarf and/or your American Heart Association red dress pin to work to show you care about the impact of cardiovascular disease on women.

Follow Your Heart Fair
1:00 pm-3:00 pm, the Center at the Heights (Needham Senior Center)
Organized by the Needham Merchants Association, the Needham Restaurant Association and the Town of Needham. Sponsored by Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and the CardioVascular Institute at BIDMC.

Blood pressure screening, nutrition advice and other activities designed to help reduce cardiovascular risk. Pick up your red dress pin!

Participants: American Heart Association, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, CardioVascular Institute at BIDMC and the Town of Needham.

4th Annual Wine & Dark Chocolate Tasting
6:00pm-7:30 pm, Longwood Grille & Bar, 342 Longwood Avenue, Boston
$35 donation to benefit the BIDMC Heart Walk team

Emcee Susan Wornick of WCVB television will host an evening of three sumptuous chocolate-themed food courses paired with palette-pleasing red wines. Join us if: you support the Heart Walk; you walk for heart health; you enjoy a night out; and/or you love red wine and chocolate!
