You are not obligated to attend the Live Webinar Saturday morning sessions of Core. Since we record each Live Webinar, it’s available for you to view after the Live Webinar at a time that’s convenient to you. This is what we refer to as On Demand viewing, and each course will be available to you for the next calendar year. Both the Live Webinar and On Demand versions of Core come with AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, ABIM MOC and AAFP credits. Please note that you will be required to fill out the evaluation with reflective statement for the Live Webinar; for any On Demand viewing, you will be required to take a quiz and fill out the evaluation with reflective statement. All 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 lectures will be available to you with a full subscription through your eeds.com account for a total of 72 hours of CME.
Yes, but if you plan to attend more than six of the ten sessions, you should sign up for the full series to save money.
Each month you will receive an email with a secret code to log into the webinar.
There are a few ways for you to log into a Core Live Webinar:
Due to the sheer number of participants we automatically disable all cameras and microphones of our participants to avoid any background noise or disruptions. You will only see and hear the presenter(s), and our Course Director, Dr. Beth Manning.
The Zoom platform allows you to type in your questions to our faculty. Dr. Manning will review the questions for relevance and priority and ask as many as she can to our faculty during the Q&A part of each session. We also have a chat feature that allows you to communicate with your colleagues during the lectures.
Absolutely not. You can take as many or as few as you’d like. Your credit is awarded for the number of hours you attend.
Your credit for attending the Live Webinar is based upon your logging into the event and filling out the evaluation form at the end. Both are required for your credit to be processed. The evaluation will require a reflective statement of what you learned during the session without this statement we will not be able to process your credit. All ABIM and AAFP credits are reported directly to the organizations for you as well as added to your running transcript.
Yes! The eeds.com system will come with an app for your mobile device. You can watch the Live Webinar, fill out your evaluation, view the handouts, all through your phone. Instructions on the eeds app will be coming out soon.
When using the On Demand version of Core you will be required to take and pass a quiz as well as fill out the evaluation with a reflective statement. This validates your engagement in the activity and allows us to grant your AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, ABIM MOC and/or AAFP credits.
Your ABIM MOC credits will be uploaded automatically once you fulfill the following requirements:
1) View the Live Webinar and follow the system prompts for claiming MOC points
2) Fill out the evaluation with a reflective statement of what you learned from the session
Unfortunately the BORM does not currently have a system in place for CME providers to report your credits directly for you. Therefore you will be responsible for reporting your CME credits to the Board if and when needed. Your credits will all reside in your Eeds.com transcript, available for you to access at any time. Your eeds.com account never expires regardless of your participation in Core.
BONUS: Are you a past Core attendee? All your credits from the past two years of Core (both live and online) will be automatically uploaded into your new eeds account. (Hint: we’re trying to put everything in one place for you!)
AAFP credits will be automatically uploaded when you click on the ‘Submit my transcript’ button in your eeds.com account. But you’ll also have access to your running transcript to see your cumulative credits whenever you like.
The eeds.com system automatically tracks all of your CME credits, as well as your Risk Management and Pain Management credits for you. You can even set your state specific requirements to your account to know exactly where you stand with your re-licensure requirements.
Absolutely! In fact, nurses represent almost 1/5 of our attendees. We offer AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and AAFP credits which work for most of these practitioners – see the reciprocity statements below:
Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses – For the purpose of recertification, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and American Nurses Credentialing Center accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit issued by organizations accredited by state medical associations (Massachusetts Medical Society). We would also suggest that learners check with their state licensing board to ensure they accept reciprocity with AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for re-licensure.
Absolutely! We welcome all primary care practitioners.
American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.
The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that AMA PRA Category 1 Credits are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification. We would also suggest that learners check with their state licensing board to ensure they accept reciprocity with AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for re-licensure.
With your eeds.com account you have instant access to your certificates and a running transcript of any Core credits both live and online for the past two years as well as all future credits. Heck, you can even add your credits from those ‘other’ CME events. We’ll do the work to validate them and then officially add them to your transcript. This feature is called Self-Reported Credit and includes self study courses, journal clubs and presentations. Additionally if using the mobile sign-in, your certificate will be available immediately once you sign-in. No longer will you have to wait weeks for an attendance certificate to come in the mail.
Your past two years credits with Core both live and online will be preloaded into your eeds.com account.
Please also see the answer above (hint: we’re looking to make CME a lot easier for you!)
The eeds.com learning platform will be your go to place for e-learning and to view all of your CME credits. You can access the Live Webinar as well as the On Demand versions of Core all in this one spot.
Sure, you can always sign up later or sign up for individual sessions at any point. However, registering for the full series through the eeds.com payment system will cost you an additional $40 surcharge for creating your account through eeds.com. Processing your payment now through the Core payment portal allows us to skip that annoying fee for you, so signing up sooner than later is advised. In other words, stick with us!
