At the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, our goal is to help you heal. Chronic wounds can be painful and may keep you from living the life you want to live. We get to know you and understand your needs so we can get you back to doing what’s important to you. From your very first wound clinic visit, you can count on us to provide exceptional, personalized care.

Developing Your Healing Plan

During your first appointment, our doctors and nurses go over your health and medical history and thoroughly evaluate your wound. This may include doing certain tests. The tests tell us more about your blood flow and how well oxygen is reaching the affected area. They can also tell us if there’s any infection present.

Based on what we learn, we develop a treatment plan that’s tailored to your needs. We focus on addressing the underlying cause of your wound and managing the healing process.

To help you get the best possible treatment, we may bring other experts into your care, including:

• Diabetes educators
• Home care nurses  
• Imaging specialists
• Nutrition specialists
• Occupational therapists
• Physical therapists
• Your primary care provider or referring physician

Your Role in Your Care

You are a vital part of your care team. We work closely with you to educate you and keep you informed. In return, we ask that you:

• Follow all instructions carefully
• Keep your scheduled appointments
• Monitor your progress in between visits

What To Bring To Your Wound Center Appointment

When you come to your initial visit at the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, please bring the following:

• A list of allergies, if any
• A list of your medications
• Insurance information
• Your medical history
