Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham Emergency Department wait times are approximate and intended for informational purposes only. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911.
We update the Emergency Department wait time every five minutes. These times represent the average time it takes for a patient to be placed into a treatment room to be seen by the Emergency Department practitioner on duty.
Patients are evaluated on arrival by a registered nurse and then seen by an emergency medicine provider based on severity. Those determined to require immediate attention will go directly to a room. It is important to remember, we provide care to the most critical cases first.
If an ambulance arrives with a critical patient or there is an emergency situation, the wait time for other patients may be affected. Wait times are always subject to change.
